The Real-time Outbreak and Disease Surveillance (RODS) Laboratory is a Biosurveillance research group at the University of Pittsburgh, Department of Biomedical Informatics.  The laboratory has been advancing the paradigm of real-time disease surveillance and control using probabilistic and decision-theoretic formalisms since 1999.

The National Retail Data Monitor (NRDM) ceased operations on December 31, 2025.  Insufficient funding and loss in retailer participation made it impossible for us to continue its operation. 

Thank you for supporting the NRDM over the last 22 years.
